Our Stunning Watford Kitchen Design Project

A modern classic. From the minimal contemporary in-frame cabinetry to the exquisite two-tone colour scheme, this kitchen is just that. Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding craftsmanship makes this superb kitchen a joy to behold.

Our clients first fell in love with this kitchen when they discovered our display at the Grand Designs Live show. The breath-taking curved silhouette of the island captured our client’s imagination and for over a year they just couldn’t stop thinking about it. Upon a visit to the showroom, we discussed tailoring the existing design to suit their home, introducing some additional handleless units and adjusting the dimensions to perfectly fit their space.

The soft grey tint used on the kitchen island beautifully distinguishes it from the rest of the kitchen. The elegant grey colour complements our Watford client’s bright and airy room, defining a charming and classically sophisticated tone. A contrasting dark, almost blue, gunmetal grey hue adds a refined and contemporary edge that’s wonderfully enhanced by luxurious silver detailing and a minimal in-frame door surround. The two shades work in perfect harmony to achieve a seamless balance between the modern and the more traditional.

A full-scale mirrored splashback behind the hob ensures our Watford client’s kitchen feels bright and spacious by reflecting the light from the roof lantern across the room. The contemporary mirror finish is paralleled by the striking spherical pendant lights, adding a quirky and stylish modern touch.

Alongside the gorgeous colour palette and the transitional cabinet styles, display alcoves and glass-fronted cupboards reinforce the contemporary classic feel. The alcoves provide our clients with the perfect spot to display their favourite ornaments allowing them to inject their personality into the design.

While we’ve dedicated a great deal of care and attention to achieving our client’s desired modern traditional aesthetic, we’ve also gone to great lengths to ensure the practical details of this kitchen are spot on. A curved breakfast bar offers a stunning location for casual meals and is conveniently located next to a luxurious wine chiller. The Quooker boiling taps present the ultimate convenience and keep the worktops spacious and uncluttered. In our client’s Watford kitchen, not a single practical or stylistic detail has been overlooked.
