Our Vibrant Harlow Forest Kitchen Design Project

Our Harlow clients love to cook and so establishing a spacious and practical kitchen with ample storage was an absolutely essential part of our brief. However, just as important as creating a highly functional Harlow kitchen was achieving a design that captured their personal style and the vibrant atmosphere of their Harlow home. Our team went above and beyond to bring both these characteristics together and our clients were delighted with their stunning and completely unique new kitchen.

To provide the generous storage that our clients required, we designed a streamlined bank of tall cabinets, cleverly incorporating the structural beam adjacent to the window. However, as such a dominant feature, it was important to consider the choice of colour wisely. Our clients were keen to incorporate a bright shade in keeping with the gorgeous yellow feature wall opposite, a complimentary blue was an ideal solution. Still, to ensure the wonderful blue tone wouldn’t overwhelm the space, we designed a two-tone scheme, placing the more dramatic Dusk Blue on the kitchen island and selecting a lighter Denim Blue tone for the tall cabinets. The resulting trio of colours achieves a stylish and inviting atmosphere and is even referenced in our client’s stunning abstract artwork. The charming sunshine yellow is picked up on in the quirky 1810 tap.

This characterful open-plan living space challenged us to develop a unique solution to our client’s requirements. To again provide all-important storage as well as to help zone the space, we designed a bespoke kitchen island that accommodates the archway in the centre of the room. Situated opposite the full-height cabinetry, the island completes the work triangle and gives our client a practical surface to cook and prepare food. The elegant classic shaker style furniture sits beautifully against the traditional detailing on the archway. Not a single practical or aesthetic detail has been overlooked in the creation of this fantastic Harlow kitchen.
