Maximising space in this compact kitchen was a must. Bringing the base units out to create a u-shaped layout increases worktop and storage space while cleverly establishing a boundary between the kitchen and dining area. The peninsula forms a crucial part of the banquette seating area. Opting for bench seating is a great way to make the most of the space. It allowed us to run the base units down the length of the kitchen, creating handy extra storage. The casual banquette seating also works brilliantly with the style of this kitchen, hinting at the fabulous 70s conversation pit.
